Personal Statement

I am submitting an application for the Masters of Fine Arts program at RIT to continue my study of visual language and educational design. I chose to apply to this program because of its unique adaptability to the diverse academic opportunities at RIT. I see a great potential for cross-disciplinary dialog between the schools of RIT as well with the community at NTID. Through this education, I plan to build from the networks planted through undergrad and apply my skills in graphic media towards visual literacy. By cultivating graphical facilitation with special-needs individuals, I hope to use my visual studies after graduate school to bridge both academic and non-academic learning.
